Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is similar to a gel-like substance naturally occurring in animals and humans. We use it to volumize skin. There are many different HA products in the market that can address everything from lipophilic characteristics to extensive water retention.
In addition to HA, there are other options such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), also known as autologous conditioned plasma. PRP is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein derived from whole blood, centrifuged to remove red blood cells. Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) are one among numerous growth factors that regulate cell growth and division. In particular, PDGF plays a significant role in blood vessel formation, the growth of blood vessels from already-existing blood vessel tissue, mitogenesis, i.e. proliferation, of mesenchymal cells such as fibroblasts, osteoblasts, tenocytes, vascular smooth muscle cells and mesenchymal stem cells as well as chemotaxis, the directed migration of mesenchymal cells.
