THE SCIENCE – Why Dr. Khan recommends It
A chemical peel is a chemical solution that is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The highly effective alpha and beta hydroxyl acid and amino acid work to give you maximum exfoliation and gentle peeling. This promotes collagen production, and reduces the size of your pores as it tightens your skin.
Older peels were limited to fair skin, and had to be used with caution on Fitzpatrick Skin grades 4, 5, and 6 (Fitzpatrick Skin Typing is a way to classify a person's complexion in relation to its tolerance to sunlight and other treatments.)
